some people just cant help but to show off Evil

I am depressed.

John was actually nice enough to let me play his 62 sunburst Jazzmaster with the gold pick guard through his 62 Fender reverb tank. . Since John is a professional, it was set up like you would expect. It played, PERFECT. In Johns hands it sounds nothing short of amazing.

Interestingly we compared it to my 2001 US Vintage collection Jazzmaster. His Jazzmaster felt a bit lighter. Both have a wonderful action & had the almost identical warm tone. The neck on mine was more yellowed & looked older.

It was a great experience playing the holy grail if only for a few minutes. The Lively Ones still play from time to time. There is audio of them at the Surf Museum at Octane Radio http://octaneradio.podOmatic.com/entry/2006-07-17T18_02_46-07_00
John played his Jaguar through his Dual Showman that day. They play Paradise Cove at about the 15 minute mark. Killer...
