Hey ReverbHeads
I love the Internet- I was Surfing on Rhapsody the other day and found "The Breakaways". They are a southern Cal surf band and if you haven't listened to them...you should. Very old school and very true to that old surf tone- My hats off to them...Too bad I am so far north...would love to hear them live.

Hey there. Welcome to the board. In all my years on here I've never read any posts about this group - which may only be a further indication of my ADHD. They do have a nice sound as well as decent song structure in their originals. We cover two of their songs... Storm Surf and The Percussionator. Both are crowd pleasers.

Here is one of my favorite songs that I shot them performing.
All really nice guys in the band.
Craig plays some great lead with Bruce McCoy serving up some tasty licks on rhythm. They have a surf beatnick playing drums for them now.
