Thanks

Had a spy with lipsticks. Awesome guitar. I only got rid of it to get a long (decade) lusted after guitar that also had lipsticks. They are great guitars, and I frankly like the looks. The Amps are first class as well. |

Until one of the local shops was discontinuing Reverends I'd never even heard of them. But that didn't stop me from trying a few and I picked up a Club King 290 and I'm extremely happy with the sound and playability of it. Best $300 I ever spent on a guitar. —Mel |

i have owned up to 7 usa revs including metal tops. I now have 2 left and dont ever plan on selling them. they are great guitars with exceptional playability and sound. also they are quite collectible now, esp the metal topped ones. i didnt feel right keeping this guitar, it was so rare i didnt want to play it. i ended up making a good buck on it and getting my dream guild. i know alot of dealers, you can pm me if your loimageoking for something in particular. |

Reverend rules!!! I've got a USA Spy (with lipsticks and bigsby and quilted maple finish); a USA Rocco (turquiose green, with humbuckers); a Hellhound 40/60 head with 4x10 cabinet, a 5/15 Goblin, and both of the Drivetrain overdrives. Great equipment. Killer tone. Joe Naylor makes awesome stuff. I wish that I had gotten a Slingshot Custom while they were around. I haven't tried the Korean models, but knowing Joe's standards for quality, I'm sure that they are top-notch. Bob —Bob |

Thanks all. As you may understand Rev are super rare here in italy and also pretty unknown. I am much a bass player than a guitar player and I own a Reverend rumblefish bass which is a stunning instrument. so I am pretty interested also in comments about their guitars. Actually I can not buy a new guitar but I am always considering Reverend so if a nice one comes up for a reasonable price, I could jump on the deal. Actually they seem to be more pricey than when they were news... collector's items! —Never surrender in finding a surfcaster |

Ive got a buddy that has a couple. Really cool guitars. We had a vito in the store once I liked it alot but it didnt have the trem so i didnt pick it up. The couple i have played were pretty cool and the pickups sounded nice. —Give me reverb or give me death! |

Used to have a Hitman, which has a Tele-style bridge pickup and a humbucker in the neck. I never really got used to the big "Eastpointe" era big and clubby neck (I gots fat little fingers), but the bridge pickup sounded amazing, it was light as a feather, and the whole guitar was darned near indestructable. I alternated it with my Ventures model Jazzmaster, playing some 150-250 shows a year, in a band where we not only played hard, but frequently got our gear splattered with everything from beer to chicken parts. After leaving that band, my Jazzmaster looks like it went through a war. The Rev? Still looked brand new! I don't know what mystery wood ol' Joe Naylor made them boogers out of, but I liked it, yessir! --Crispy |

I have a flatroc that I play quite regularly and love it. It's sort of tele shaped and has two revtron pickups that sound pretty damn good. |

A cow pattie with decent P-90's sounds good. Hell, even I sound good with P-90's. |

I had a Daredevil 290 for a while and really liked it. I used a Vibramate adapter to put a Bigsby B5 on it and had a lot of fun, but ultimately all that double-cut P90 goodness led me to hunt down a deal on an LP Jr and I haven't looked back. The import Reverends are at a perfect nexus of price and performance, in my opinion - they're better quality and tone than the Fender MIM Standards and Epiphones, but still cost way less than American models. Great place to be. — |
