This is a transitional 1964 Fender 6G6B Bassman. The tube chart dates it to June of 1964 so it must be one of the last of the blond circuit Bassman amps that went out the door before the true blackface came on line. This one has the blackface cosmetics of the cabinet, and even came with the blackface knobs over the numbered face plate (the white knobs are repros). The circuit is still the final version of the sought after blond Bassman.
The amp functions fine. It was recapped in 2005, a three-prong cord was added, and a small bias trimmer pot was added internally (no extra holes), but all the rest of the components and solder joints are original.
The only issue is that the original owner spray painted the Fender logo black and also lightly oversprayed the grill cloth. I was able to get the grill cloth looking pretty good again and you probably wouldn't notice the difference unless you put it next to another Fender from that era. The logo on the amp is from a late '60s Fender head but the original will also be included.
Asking $925 plus actual shipping.
