Daddy-O Grande is one of my idols and I have never even seen what he looks like under that mask. Perhaps you have a pic of him as the mild mannered Danny Amis?

Really? I would think you would embrace his "O-Grande"-ness. Seeing the man behind the curtain is always a disappointment.

If he really doesn't want his face exposed then I totally respect that, and this thread can end. I didn't know that was the case and have seen all the rest of LSJ unmasked pics.

And come on what Kiss fan didn't want to know what they really looked like? But, yeah they should have kept the makeup...

You could just look at those Raybeats albums to get a good idea of what he looks like unmasked.If you go to a Los Straitjackets show he's usually wondering around the club all natural if you will. Though it's been since 2002 since I've seen the band live so my memory is a little faded.

I saw Danny many many years ago when he appeared on a Nashville Now staff show. This was long before his LSJ gig and both of us were quite a bit younger. He wailed away on a Ventures tune if I remember correctly. Never realized it was him until I read that he worked in production with Nash Now for several years. Asked him about it one time and he confirmed. Wouldn't know him unmasked today if he walked up and slapped me with it and I'm fine with that.

When the Widadli Riders from Antigua/Italy were here last Summer, their guitar player was not able to come. So Danny Amis sat in with them on all their shows. I had to get to their 1st So. Cal. show early as Kristena(tiki tena)
was loaning them her Farfisa, and I was hauling it there, and had to get it in early to set it up.
Danny was there and helped me carry it in, and set it up.
after we both got a bite to eat and talked for awhile.
I had also seen him at other shows, before and after they had played.

so the whole what does he look like, is kinda funny to me.
as its no big secret to some of us that see them here in a more casual setting.
