I'd be stoked to help write and play some tunes about the sovereign nation of california. In addition I have always wanted to write something about emperor norton. History is always poised to be rewritten!

Sounds like it would be fun to do. Why not also include something about General Adolphus Greely? He was the commanding officer of the Presidio around the time of the 06 earthquake. He is most known as the leader of the Greely Expedition which suffered some pretty nasty hardhips at Cape Sabine while awaiting rescue following and artic expedition in the 1880's.

The San Francisco bay was discovered by land. One of the most beautiful and best natural harbors in the world was unseen by navigators (due to fog), while much smaller bays and inlets were discovered. There is all kinds of re-writing and changing of history that could go into the writing of reverb inspired jungle drum powered songs based on California and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Be sure to include the Broderick-Terry duel in 1859. The California senator versus the state chief justice of the supreme court.
