I'm done, sorry!
It is actually hard to find people who are committed, when I was playing alot in my early 20s, we went through drummers like crazy, even when we found a promising one there was always a catch, so I switched from guitar to playing drums, then we went through the same cycle with guitar players. Eventually we ended up not doing anything. Which was probably not such a bad thing, since we were playing a bunch of metal crap.
Now the problem is getting people interested in playing surf!

Yeah, I cannot find a drummer, who will play any genre locally.

I also like to think that all early 60's fender equipment is happy to be playing surf music again. After all, its the music it was meant to play.

One man surf band is the answer for me, I guess. Anyway, good luck finding some band members.

Maybe it's the transistors.

Hey all of you east coast players, the NESMA site is another potential resource for finding bandmates: http://www.nesmasurf.org/classifieds.htm
Our surf band "The Aquatudes" was formed via the NESMA resources.
Check out the Show listings and come out and say hello!

waveman3d> RI Guitarist looking for bass and drums. Lookin to start something in RI. No party animals and no full schedules. If you don't have the time don't waste mine.
DS> ...tone of your post somewhat off putting.
Band name that popped in to my head:
The Tactfuls (or The Tact-ics, etc).
honorable mention: The Put Offs.
