Yep, got my copy the other day and have to agree. I do appreciate the generous amount of "grit", me coming from a heavier music background and all- it seems like something I could get my non-surf friends into.

I just got the Meltdown CD and I'm really enjoying it. There is some great songwriting on this album and I really dig how the two guitars share the limelight. I think my favorite tune on the record so far is Mosquito Royale. Such great agressive strat tone! A little reminiscent of the Madeira maybe with the galloping rhythm section and great lead lines. Great work guys! —Ryan Last edited: Feb 11, 2009 18:30:51 |

I had to take a very long trip by car and I listened to this album 4 times I think. It's fantastic, I love it. I really like the songwriting, the playing, and the way the 2 guitars work together. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

yeah, in my little six CD changer, this album stayed in my reserved surf slot for about three weeks despite heavy amounts of driving. — |

This morning I heard a few seconds of Bevel Emboss on NPR's Morning Edition. I checked their "rundown" page and it shows them playing Mosquito Royale next. My local station must have cut in because I only heard a few seconds of Bevel Emboss, and I definitely did not hear the 'Mosquitos. But maybe they got played in some markets! http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=3 —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I just happened to be playing music this morning instead of the radio, so I can't confirm either. Pretty cool though, guys! — |

Congrats! Someone at NPR is very hip to the surf scene! —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |
