Doug(stormtiger) and I were debating weather or not we need/want name tags like last year.
seemed most didn't want or have them.
too geeky?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Let people choose. I can't keep track of both names (real and member) for everybody and prefer name tags.

I liked the name tags. I hope people will wear them.

Perhaps we could reimburse Doug/Jeff out of the tip jar for the name tags.

ok I will ask Doug if he can bring them,
but you guys have to guilt people into wearing them.

On the Google map........follow the beach south from the pier and see what you find. Stay over the beach.

are you talking about the Newport Peninsula, and at the end the Wedge?

Nope. Just a little bit down the beach, across from the big construction site. Airliner flying over the beach. I thought it was kinda cool. (I'm weird like that)

Threw me for a bit. I'm thinking "what the hell??? They've got a 737 on display at the beach????" Then it hit me.

less than 2 weeks away,
I hope to see alot of you that can make it.
and for those that are coming, I hope you get there early.
for the vending room, and to get a good seat.
I have a feeling its going to be packed now.
lots of feedback on the Myspace and Facebooks that Kristena is doing for the event.

also plan ahead for traffic, the freeways can be a bitch,

leave your hotel/motel/house early.
get there and have Breakfast before the show.

will post more info later.

I don't mind wearing a name tag, but the sticky one I was trying to wear last year sweated right off almost immediately.

So, I'm suggesting we just write them on our foreheads. Or maybe tattoos? Laughing

tables are in the back, there is a dance floor, aka ( for surf geeks, a stand with your hands in your pockets and stare) floor, in front of the stage.

I will be off to the side of the stage bopping my head.

Last years tags were actually mailing labels, much cheaper than real name tags. I preferred to put the money into the tip jar for the bands. I will get better ones this year but I encourage everyone to get the tattoo or write on your forehead. Go green!

Doug, if you want I can print out & laminate nametags here at work. That would involve everyone letting us know who is coming. I've used business card sized ones, and they work ok. Could go a little bigger, just involves more printing. I've got some of the laminate material, and could be persuaded to buy some more (depending on how many need them). Walkins will get the stickers.

The mailing labels were fine Doug. And we'll reimburse you for them. Thanks.
