Anyone here know if this book by John Blair is available for purchase anywhere? Can't believe theres not more written on the subject. I do keep my eyes on ebay, but no luck, and I've called Popular Culture Publishing and he told me its out of print. Book finders my only hope?
Can we get this book republished somehow??
Paging John Blair

There's copies at various websites that sell used books, but the cheapest one I've found is $75.

John Blair told me a year ago or so that he's working on getting out new editions of both his books (Surf Music and Hot Rod Music discographies). Hopefully it will happen as I never got around getting those when they were still in print. A new edition of Bob Dalley's book Surfin' Guitars: Instrumental Surf Bands of the Sixties would also be great.

There's a used copy offered on Amazon for the neat price of $2,115.20. And why the 20 cents?!? Didn't the seller think $2,115 was enough?

That's cute, but if I had that much money to throw around, I'd rather just spend it on $2,115.20 worth of surf records.

It's probably a convenience surcharge.
