Permalink Speaking of the Showman any plans for a Tone Ring posted ?

Are there any drawings for home construction of a tone ring anywhere on the web? Any pictures of one?

TIA

Doug

Doug,

there's a guy on Ebay named Paul Wisenor that sells plans to various cabinets, including the 15" tone ring. I bought them and built the cabinet. There were a few errors on the plans, but overall they were adequate. If you choose to build it or even want more detailed information about the construction process before you decide, drop me a line. Ultimately it was a very satisfying project. However, you're still going to have to drop some bucks. When you add up the wood, hardware, speaker, vinyl, grille cloth, and then your time - it's quite a lot. I think I have over $350 into mine, and I had the wood and I used a new Jensen Neo ($100) speaker instead of vintage JBL.

Good luck!

I have one I plan on selling. I need to research the value first and it has no speaker, but it's vintage.
