I put my vibrato/trem pedal after the tank, just like it would be if I used it from onboard my amp.
I'm with you on this one. Tremolo is actually one I'll put into the effects loop if the amp has one.
Tremolo and vibrato for me fall into the category of a "doppler" effect. I also always put it after just about everything else, and to be honest I almost never run both the trem/vib and tank. Besides the fact that I just don't like the sound, both generally result in a perceived if not actual volume drop. Together? I'd be looking for "11" on my amp volume. Trem/vib OR tank for me...

Volume drop isn't an issue with the Fulltone Supa-trem I use. It has a trim pot to adjust output volume relative to input. I run both reverb and vibrato together but after reading your post I'll try cutting way back on the reverb and see if it works for me.

Hey Danny. I'm talking about perceived drop. You know, side by side they just don't sound as loud as a dry guitar even if according to a meter they are just as loud at peak. We're all different but depending on the speed and waveform (inverted V shape especially for me) of the trem sometimes to my ear it just seems like I've lost 20%, even though I really haven't.

That's what I mean, you can boost the output so it seems even to the perceived volume.

Mongo not smart sometimes. So many just repeat industry copy that Mongo not know Sheriff Danny meant boost signal, not just adjust for signal loss... Mongo just pawn in game of surf... But maybe sheriff Danny needs deputy out in audience to hear pretty music sounds instead of sheriff Danny right in front of cab? Mongo sure Sheriff Danny do right thing... After all, he invent candy gram!
