A bunch of web sites that are more concerned with glitz and glitter, trying to sell folks something, than folks actually being able to share something?

I'm gonna go with Merrell Fankhauser on this one, Zak.

That or someone else.

I was able to download it and loved the sound of the guitar but haven't a clue.

zak
Here's a hint: he's still alive (just barely, by the looks of it), still playing and would be considered a "household name" even by mainstream standards, and the tune in the link was his first record.

Don't know but that bassist needs to tune up!

SSIV

Great tune... No idea. Laughing

The first link fired off so many pop up ads and pseudo attacks I didn't attempt to download the file.

"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

i have no idea either, but i really dug the song.As for some people being intimidated by some pop ups or some adds makes me laugh Rolling Eyes Duh

Reverb, It's A Way Of Life!

The tune is very reminiscent of Cliff Richard & the Shadows 'The Young Ones'
but I don't think it's Hank Marvin. Could be almost anyone from 1958-1962 when that was the prevailing guitar style and that tonic-to-relative-minor thing was an extremely common chord change.

So I guess I'm saying I don't know.

Youth and enthusiasm are no match for age and treachery.

Brad Paisley.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Neil Young???

I know he played Shadows influenced instro stuff in his first band - and your description of him seems to fit!

That would be this man:

It's on a few of his albums. And, yes, he's not looking too good lately. I haven't seen him live in many years, but will make a point to do so soon.

Thanks surfneptune!

Now I recognize the name, just not familiar with any songs he ever played.
