Sorry for delayed reply I had a busy weekend away from the Computer.
Ivan , looks awsome, Now you can join the Torquays when you Move to Calif. ha ha.
I didn't know it was a Tone Ring 15 those are my favorites.
Makes the sound so much more ringing( is that the word I'm looking for?)
Too bad you can't bring it out for the shows in Ca.

Right Ivan, with amps, only SIZE matters! (can you say "get a load of my 6L6, baby? " )
Believe it or not, I say that ALL the time...
WR
so, why did you get it retolexed? (just kidding)
Well, though the sound is THEE most important thing, it's nice to have it look so kick ass, isn't it? However, I'm not gonna look the gift horse in the mouth when we're playing in CA....
WR
anyway, please tell me you're going to change the grillcloth on the reverb tank too! you might as well go all the way now that you've started
Sorry, won't do! There's no way I'm touching a perfectly acceptable reverb unit just to have them match! Anyway, lot of '60s surf bands had that same mismatch - check out the photos.

Well, I appreciate your sacrifice, Wayne! I REALLY do. I've given it a good home.
(Just before I took that photo, I said to my wife "isn't it beautiful?" Her reply: "It's big." Me: "Beautiful and big?" Her: "No, just big." Other people just don't get it....)
Thanks again, Wayne!

Man that looks good!
I bet you had to get out of bed and go look at it about four or five times before you went to sleep.
or did you just curl up next to it!

Ivan's Showman rig looks and sounds incredible - trust me, I was there!
I picked up my '67 Dual Showman head several months ago, and I will be completing my setup when my 2x15 cabinet arrives in the next two weeks.

Thanks again to everyone for the nice comments. i hope I don't come off as bragging, cause I'm just really thrilled to have this setup. It took me ten years of playing surf music before I finally got it, so I've been a patient boy...
(BTW, I still dig my Dual Professional - yes, Eddie, I really do! And I'll use it when the lack of room in car does not permit the Showman to be used. But you know, if you've got this Showman rig, it's hard to use anything else!)

Krupanut, you KNOW, don't you!! Ahh, us guitar players, we do love our gear... I think my wife would have been VERY bemused if I slept next to it, but I did spend some time before hitting the sack gazing lovingly at it... And then some more time after waking up... And after getting back from work... And since I got back from my trip....
Dr. Pluto, funny guy! No address for you!
And it's great to see Todd, my bass-playing bandmate, on this site! Welcome, Todd! He just got a '65 2-15" cab with D140Fs (preferrable for bass) to complete his Dual Showman setup - so the next gig will feature a single Showman, a dual Showman and a Twin Reverb! Nice, can't wait!
