I'm listening to these guys again today. Just wanted to say how much they kick ass. I could listen to "Evil-A-Go-Go" all day. Tribal drums, extra percussion, organ, reverb, and an evil, evil groove. I wish I could have seen them live!

Agreed. I've got Evil A Go-Go, Go Hunting (which is also excellent), STRIKE! The Early Years, and Caffeine. Evil A Go-Go is definitely my favorite though.

I forgot that I picked up a live album from them at the convention. It was really late in their career as I recall.

Great band ... just make sure to avoid Ghent-BXL like the plague.

Caffeine is good stuff so it was not bad deal at all.
They were a very good party playing live!! I really would like to see them again.

Ah, I finally found it in my pile of junk from California.
It is "The Monstro Phonic Sound Live at Ernesto's", 2004 on Drunkabilly. Anyone else have this? It seems to have some of the same tracks on the also live Evil A Go-Go, but also some of their newer, less surfy stuff.

yeah I have the live cd,
not crazy about the sound, but the energy is off the Richter scale.
are you saying that "Evil A go go" is Live?
because I didn't know that.
doesn't sound like its live to me,
unless you mean live in the studio, without an audience.

its ok Brian, you seemed to be a bit stressed with all the crazy stuff on sg101 lately.
maybe you were thinking of "Strike, the early years"
it has some live songs on it.

For some reason I think I have some live 50 Foot Combo, but I don't know where it came from now. I don't think it is from Strike.

There's a couple of really good live bonus tracks on the Musick reissue of Go Hunting (I think).
