If anybody that was involved with a Jam listed above,
please chime in and let Steve know that your ok with it being released.
that way I wont have to e-mail everybody involved.

My apologies to Jay, my memory could only bring up Steve's name on that COL CD.
As I recall, Jeff, you told everyone before the convention that there would be taping going on so I would consider that a waiver. I think your OK would be enough for Chrome to release the recordings, that way he won't have to keep track of everyone.

OK with me, although it will probably reveal that Margaya was not as stellar as everyone precieved it to be

Doug, true, but that was for the sound of surf film, not really for audio,
but I'm hoping to get a real quick reply from most everybody on here.
Ran, Bah...
that Margaya was 1 of the highlights of the day for me.

Hey, how could Margaya be bad, but being there up close definitely added another dimension to the experience. I think most of us run the same risk since no one got to rehearse, hopefully that added a little excitement to the performances. I think the apparent lack of rehearsal is what Steve may have been trying to say in tactful way. I know Wooza and I were pretty nervous about which version of Exotic to play and it came out different than all of them.

its all just for the fun of it.
I practiced Taco wagon 20 times or so at home,
had it nailed.
then in the heat of the moment I jumped to the bridge section a few bars earlier when the jam happened.
I aksed a few people, and nobody really noticed.

Heck I didn't even notice (or at least remember noticing)

I think the bands that played as a whole should be included too, not just the jams.

Just for the record, pun intended!, this guy:"Rick, Tsunami Blue - guitar", has a name...it's Rick Rhoades and he's my brother and out of respect to what's left of our family...you should refer to him as Rick Rhoades. Thank you.

thanks,
Please don't release "Our Favorite Martian" - Dave broke a string in the first few seconds of the song so the whole thing is out of tune.

Ferenc, Noted:
but the energy on that thing was off the hook.
I think that between that song and Margaya,
JonPaul gave himself a whiplash.
Chris I will talk to Steve, aka Chrome Oxide about uploading the Aquasonics songs, But he might just want to send you a cdr and have you do it. ok?

Thanks Jeff! We certainly wouldn't let a little thing like a broken string or being out of tune ruin a performance. But, without the benefit of seeing the band, and only hearing the audio, it may be cringe-worthy. If CO has the songs in MP3 format, send it to me, and I'll let you know about posting it.
Thanks.

Oh I agree on it being cringe worthy.
I will ask Steve if he has it in MP3 form.

No disrespect was intended. When I was compiling my list, I was trying to get as many complete names as I could. Unfortunately, there were a few other folks that I don't know, and had to go with what I heard over the P.A. or what I had seen written up by Jeff before the event.

Chrome Oxide, I realize that. We are the notorius Rhoades boys and we have a reputation to uphold!! We catch waves and try to capture the excitement of that in our music. Heck, i'm not sore or anything...i just wanted folks to know we're brothers and we're both in surf bands even though we're seperated by thousands of miles of water. Of course i'm way better than he is....come on....he's my little brother. We're probably gonna fight next time we see each other....that's what brothers do eh?
Stormy...be quiet up there!! haha!!
Aloha you surf dogs!

that Margaya was 1 of the highlights of the day for me.
If it doesn't come across quite the same in the recording, then people will just say, "Naa. It lost a little something in the recording, maybe. You had to be there. It was much better standing in a pool of sweat six feet away. Maybe I was in a sweet spot, but I don't think so. It was just their moment for that song and they nailed it."
