does anyone know what the original name for the song is? it appears on the Lost Legends comp III as IstaMbul by the galdiators, but I don 't know whether thats's the original version. I 've seen it listed with other bands as IstaNbul. I think it's a matter of differnet languages, though both English and Turkish use the N, so if the original was an M, whcih language was it?

Istanbul is Constantinople oh Istanbul is Constanti..............

the correct spelling is Istanbul, probably just got misspelled by a bunch of un-edge-a-ma-cated musicians at some recording session in the way back.

Constantinople (Greek: Κωνσταντινούπολη) was the capital of the Byzantine Empire and, following its fall in 1453, of the Ottoman Empire until 1930, when it was renamed to Istanbul as part of Ataturk's Turkish national reforms. Strategically located between the Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara at the point where Europe meets Asia, Constantinople was extremely important as the successor to ancient Rome and the largest and wealthiest city in Europe throughout the Middle Ages, it was known as the "Queen of Cities".
