I just wanted to mention something about my thanks to you guys. I have been thinking for a few days what I could say. Nothing, just nothing that I can say is satisfactory. I never expected anything or even thought of it. And you guys have shown to me a lot of your kindness. I am overwhelmed and happy. What can I say?
So I will just write something.
I received the money for the blown speaker. Norm put it in for me and it works perfect. Yeh! I got my sound back.
I received a little more than what was needed. I need to do something with the extra money. I was going to give to Brian the extra $90 to help out with SurfGuitar101. He said no, just keep it. Use if for next time.
So I have decided to keep it for next year Surf Guitar 101 convention # 2. Will contribute extra for that. Since the money came from you guys then it should go back and contribute to you all in some way.
This first year was fantastic. Hot! but fantastic!
Next year will be even better. If BTD wants my help. He's got it!
I will try to get a really super nice venue for next year. You guys will like it. I think we can get a cooler, and larger place where everyone can be inside if they want. I will tell the owner don't even think about complaining about the volume levels.
Thanks again to all the surfguitar people who showed that they really care by their nice words and actions.
We all owe Brian a lot of thanks for starting this site to help all of us come together as a wonderful surf guitar family unit. He has brought the whole world together to help celebrate surf music. We all can express our thoughts freely without fear. The people are great. I have never had so many friends.
