Permalink Question About Surf Guitar Playing!

New Topic

Hi
I've been recently trying to play some surf music on my guitar and the single note melody stuff is pretty easy for me.The question I have is about the chords you always hear.

I'm learning "Thee Cormans Stomp" by Thee Cormans. Well 20 seconds into the song(check out myspace.com/theecormans) the guitar player strums some chords.Does anybody know what chord that is?

You always seem to hear the same sounding chords in surf music.I'm guessing they are barre chords?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Sounds to me like a B/C/B turnaround, and then an E at the 12th fret. The song is a pretty basic I-IV-V progression in E.
