The Elm Street Band played last week and (like the Long Beach Thursday night municipal band deals) there was probably a couple thousand people kicking back on the grass. Mostly there to drink wine and chit chat and not pay attention to the band but it's alot of fun. Eliminators will be a treat compared to the usual lame-o cover bands... Cheers, Ted Top

Really a family, tame crowd out on the lawn for the last concert of the summer series. The Eliminators were great. The surf tone was right on, though the Showmans were definitely not turned up. I thought it was interesting where he was playing Baja on the neck (looked like frets 2 through 5 on the first two strings) - sounded very alive. Paul — Paul Top

Posted on Aug 24 2008 03:29 AM I disagree, I got up very close to say hi to someone, and my ears were bleeding , and I like it loud. then I went back to the sidewalk by the street where I was standing, and it sounded fine. Outside shows with no back drop have a tendency to soak up really loud sounds, — Jeff(bigtikidude) Top
