It seems like they where trying to imitate horn instruments with this thing, haha. Davie's multi-layered fuzz tones did remind me of horn sections at times. For ex; on "Devil's Angels" for the chorus parts. Sounds so sick! Got any recommendations for some early instro fuzz? — The Deadbeats Top

I'm beyond blown away, absolutely amazing cd from start to finish, and that's a rarity for me, there's usually at least one song on an album that I don't like or not a big fan of. As for early fuzz recommendations, I don't think I can recommend anything that I haven't already recommended before (besides, there weren't that many fuzz recordings made before 1965). I assume you already have the 1963 Hal Blaine and the Young Cougars album which is loaded with early fuzz sounds and would be my #1 recommendation. — T H E ✠ S U R F I T E S Top
