i've experimented with a larger piece of molding to cover the existing bridge, then i added a new "fingerboard" using the exisitng nut-screws to hold it in place, and a wood-wedge under the finger board as it meets the body. The strings have to be about 2 inches above the body so the strings can be bowed. i'll have an upgrade kit available soon, but theres a few minor issues i have to complete, it wont be available for the SUmmer NAMM show next week, but soon. i've used a flat piece of door jamb molding, it isnt pretty but neither is the box bass! i have a cello bow and a violin bow - both work great. Theres a guy in Jersey that permanently attached a dulcimer to his 2-string box bass and the pickup picks it up too.
