That's all fine and well.
But I think the Maderia, Insect Surfers, and Slacktone for the last surf show at the Pitcher House in Hermosa, before they close.
Is way more important, and affordable.

This is the centenial celebration for the Long Beach Lifeguard Service, 100 years of service & saving lives. It's not just a "surf concert." Yes, it's $60, but in addition to the band you get dinner & a show hosted by a famous actor in an awesome outdoor venue. You will see some history & possibly meet some real heroes. Proceeds go to the Vanguard Cancer Foundation, who donate generously to Miller Childrens Hospital, a noble cause if ever there was one.

Sorry Tim,
I shouldn't have poopoo'd on your show announcement.
That was wrong of me.
Have fun man,
good to see you at Slacktone last night, hope it was worth the drive.

That was a good time at Baja Cantina..... Slacktone is simply amazing. Good times...
550 tickets sold to date for the Lifeguard show as of tonight. That is the break even point. Everything else goes to the Vanguard Cancer Foundation & Miller Childrens Hospital. Helping children with cancer, what a great cause.
My wife has been on the phone with the band numerous times this week to ensure everything is perfect. The band is practicing to make this show one to remember. The band is stoked over the show.
Tonight, I was looking at some of the historical displays that will be featured at this show. It's very cool. They also have some great items for the silent auction. They also found some 1930's surfing footage from Long Beach before the breakwater was built. Some of it will be shown during the concert on big screens on each side of the stage as well as surfing footage from some older Bruce Brown films..
This event is outdoors on the stern decks of the Queen Mary overlooking downtown Long Beach. This promises to be a memorable evening.

I have to admit that I am a bit bummed I'll miss Slacktone at the Pitcher House. Hollywood is looking good though.

It was a cup of water. Looks like some paper has been placed in the empty cup. This pic was taken around midnight... Still about 85 degrees. Cool amps in the background.
Still playing hard after midnight!
