Anyone want to play? It works like this. You name an artist/band, then you or someone tries to link it to, in this case, surf music in six degrees/steps or less.
Example: Bob Dylan 1. Recorded albums featuring Mark Knopfler on lead guitar 2. Mark Knopfler has recorded with Chet Atkins. 3. Chet Atkins recorded Walk Don't Run. 4. The Ventures made a hit record of Walk Don't Run. 5. The Ventures recorded Surfin' album. I made it in 5 steps!
Now who should we start with????

Geeesh, I think I can connect myself to the president of the United States in 2 or 3 degrees, so we can do better than 5 for Dylan and Surf. Here's what I found:
Dylan recorded the "Under the Red Sun" LP with Stevie Ray Vaughan
(source - http://www.bobdylan.com/linernotes/under.html)
And we all know Stevie Ray Vaughan recorded Pipeline with Dick Dale (Tribal Thunder).
That's 2!

- the band "Bad News" Recorded a song called "Im a worrior of Ghengis Kahn"
- Bad News is actually the cast of brittish comedy "the young ones"
- the cast of "the young ones" rerecorded "living Doll" with Cliff Richard
- Cliff Richard used to play with the Shadows
- IvanP used to play in a shadows tribute band
- IvanP played in the Space Cossacks and now the Madeira
voila. Im sure it can be done shorter but im tired.

Amoeba Music stores in San Francisco/Bay Area sell surf music albums/CDs

Fallopian Tube
From dickdale.net: " I can play every instrument there is, every horn, I've played all the saxes and trumpets and everything and keyboards."
So, he must also play the fallopian tuba.

I was expecting an easy "My girlfriend/wife has a fallopian tube, I date my girlfriend/wife, I play surf" but I guess I'm giving you all too much credit

Alternately ...
1.) The Adolescents recorded an awesome song called "Amoeba"
2.) The Adolescents were/are from Fullerton, CA
3.) Fender Electric Instruments Company opens in Fullerton, in 1946.
4.) (insert Fender-surf connection of your choice)
-Warren
— That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.
