Did somebody say Ventura? I was wondering why I've been seeing all of those old cars rolling into town lately. Thanks HB.

The Eliminators will play one set only starting promptly at noon.. Several reporters have called for information on the band. If you see any articles in the local paper, please forward a link.

Show time for todays show has been changed to 1 PM.

Here is some local coverage. Old photo.

was planning on going, but I flaked out.

sorry Doug, and Trode, hope you guys enjoyed it.
also how were the Phantom Riders if you saw them?
haven't seen them in over 5 years.

I didn't make it, mainly because it was primarily a car show and I just saw the Eliminators at Surf-O-Rama. The Phantom Riders haven't played in a long time around here, they have been backing a singer in Johnny Cash tribute called Big River. I once jammed with the Riders (on bass). I find their stuff more along the lines of Link Wray or rockabilly than true surf music. Lots of solos in a I, IV, V progression. I saw their drummer, Tony Cicero a few weeks ago when he saw us play at an open mic and he was very enthused about us and wants to jam. He is a great drummer and I want to get something going with him.

with the cost of Gas being thru the roof and The Eliminators playing lots of local gigs, was the reason I didn't go.
I did want to see the car show,
but I saw smaller local one, sat in Seal Beach, then went to a BBQ at a buddy's house.

But I do have a friend in Camarillo who was expecting me to come up.
and felt bad I flaked on him.
