I am still undecided. I want the El Capistan so bad. But I am going to feel like an asshole for spending that much on a pedal.

I did finally unload my MXR Carbon Copy last night.

THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary.

Noel, I highly advise not playing the Repeat Offender until you are ready to get rid of your Space Echo. I actually quite liked my Space Echo until we got into the studio and I used the Repeat Offender. I now cannot stand one thing about the sound of the Space Echo.

But we do have a few songs that require a tap tempo on the delay I use. With this in mind I will either have to keep the Space Echo or move on to the El Capistan.

Do it. I replaced my Carbon Copy with the El Cap right when they came out. I never looked back. I even have a very good sounding Boss DM-2 but that stays at home and I use the El Cap.

The El Cap might not work for you then, the tap tempo on the El Cap does cut off the delay trails when you tap in a new tempo. That's the only I don't like about it.

TC Electronics Flashback Delay... just got one a few weeks ago, it is the best delay pedal I have owned. Certainly the most functions and versatility that I have ever had the joy of using.

Then this may interest you:

The new version of my wonderful Memory Lane Jr. has a setting that makes the changing of tempo change pitch smoothly, like tape.
Besides that, it is indeed a wonderful sounding pedal.
