For those of you that are interested, here's the gear used on Bang Howdy Partner.
The bass on all tracks is a Musicman 5 string through a Peavey head, and home-made cabinet (1x15") miked with a large condensor mic. Played with fingers.
The drum kit is a Yamaha Studio miked with on large condenser 4' in front of the kit (bass drum height), and a mid size condensor centered above the snare (4' off floor)
The gtr amps were miked with a combination of the large and mid size condensor mics, and a SM-57.
Muchos Diablos
-the main gtr is an aqua Dano U2 (Korean re-issue, both p-ups on) played through a reissue tank, and a 1960 Fender Vibrasonic w/ 1x 15" Jensen.
-the tremoloed gtr is a lipstick pickup strat played direct through a Beringer Eurorack mixer
-the solo gtr is a Dano Hodad Baritone (bridge p-up) played through the tank, and the Vibrasonic
Hrundi Goes West
-the main gtr is the strat on the middle p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the lap steel is a 1950's Kalamazoo played through a Kalamazoo Model 2 amp (8" speaker)
Johnny Ronco's Last Stand
- the main gtr is the strat on the bridge p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the 2nd gtr is the Dano (both p'ups) played through a Garnet Revolution (12" speaker)
