Hi all,
I found the sound a little more interesting than in my previous postings.
I think the reason is I use for the first time a tube amp, my Fender Hot Rod Deville 4 x 10 which is right behind me on the floor.
The strings are over 6 months old. I believe it would sound better with newer ones.

Hope you don't find it too hectic.

Hi D-D-Boy,
Great that you were playing with the Chevelles from Oz.
I know of the Atlantics who are an older surf band.
As far as echo, I don't really know what they use, but I can tell you
which echo I use for Shadows tunes and other.
I use the Yamaha MagicStomp. It's the ultimate digital budget multitap
echo for Shadows and for that matter any kind of instrumentals
You can find it on eBay as it is a discontinued item (for right around $100). Don't get the acoustic version, that's not going to do it for you.
Then you can go to this site in UK: http://groups.msn.com/CharlieHall/general.msnw
and purchase the Shadows programs for about $50 from Charlie Hall who is Hank Marvin's echo engineer, and you' ll be on your way to great
time.
Now if you have the money, you can go and buy to the exact digital echo duplicate of the "Meazzi" echo used by Hank Marvin in the early recordings (if I had the money, that's what I would get) from this
site in Oz:
http://www.tvsspecialtyproducts.com/
Then you will sound just like Hank in the early 60's.
Hope this helps.
Greetings to beautiful Spain,
Abdel
