Hi All,
I was able to make it to the "L.A. PEDAL STEEL GUITAR JAM" on Saturday where over 25 Steel players jammed relentlessly for 6 hours.
It was just something incredible for me. (See the attached video of SLEEPWALK).
Among the players were some big authorities:
- Jay Dee Maness worked with numerous well known artists
- Al Vescovo (picture attached) worked with numerous artists like Tommy
Tedesko and Mike Anthony.
- Among the players was also Doug Livingston (see picture) Donna
Summer's long time keyboard player.
The Steel players were set all around the room and were playing against BAND IN A BOX tracks that were projected on 2 bigs screens.
Here is a video file I took of an unkown performers (I should have asked him his name) playing "SLEEPWALK". I heard 25 different takes on SLEEPWALK, all very original and challenging.
