In the newest issue of Guitar Player the Madeira is picked as one of the editor's favorite MySpace artists. It's a monthly column. It's great to see the Madeira listed among the Shredders, Vaughan-alikes etc. I don't know if the issue is on the newstands or not, I got mine two days ago in the mail.
Congrats to Ivan and the rest.

Wow, and congrats to Ivan and the guys.
I'm really stoked to hear about all the attention surf/instro has been getting
in guitar player and Vintage guitar the last few years.
hopefully they will keep it up.

Radical!! Congrats Ivan & Co. It's very much deserved IMO. The Madeira are truly innovators in this genre and should be recognized by a wider audience

WOW!! Thanks everybody!!! I haven't received my issue yet, but we had somebody leave a comment yesterday on our myspace site congratulating us for being in GP's "MySpace hordes section", so I kinda figured. Could somebody with a magazine put up the text? I'm dying to read it!
Honestly, I was very skeptical that this would happen. Michael Molenda has written many times in his gear reviews how much he dislikes reverb, and he seems to like really wacky guitar players, guys that are pretty out there. He loves DD, but I figured he'd dismiss us as being too derivative or something along those lines. It's a very pleasant surprise.
Whoo-whooo! I think we get personalized picks as a prize!

I've always thought they could go head to head with the best of any genre.
Should be interesting to see if this translates into a bump in the number of views. Congrats to the Madeira! Hope this makes you a ton of new fans.

Congratulations Ivan, Patrick, Todd and Dane! This will give me an excuse to stop by the local bookstore, on Friday.

ahhh gotta love a pessimist.
welcome to the club. I'm the president.
but on a upside, maybe this will sell out all of the Maderia cds that Sean Printed, and have to do a 2nd run.

I'm bracing myself for a ton of mp3 downloads from the site. Good thing we are off that shared server.
