When looking at the front page of the site, the server times of posting are shown rather than my local time. For example, a current item on the front page shows:
James Wilsey: "El Dorado" by windmill at 05:47 PM Feb 26
When I look at the posting directly, the posting time is shown as Posted: Wed Feb 27, 2008 10:47 am which is correct for my local time zone setting I have in my profile on the forums.
I'm not sure how the front page summary is being created but perhaps this is something that might be addressed?

I've noticed time discrepancies in a few different places too.
but it really donest affect the info that I'm reading.
I just try to ignore it.

I noticed the times on the RSS feed are strange too. e.g. Ozboomer's posting is dated Feb. 26 7:56pm here, but Feb. 27 01:08pm on the feed.
But I'm probably the only one looking at the RSS feed, so don't loose any sleep over it.

It has been that way as long as I can remember. One can either know what time zone they are in and do simple math to correct the problem, or ignore it.

Currently, only the forums respects the timezone you entered in your profile. All other times are relative to the server.

just don't use your sg101 posts as an alibi for that local triple homicide, and you'll be fine.
