Calling All Martians was one of the first CD's I bought when I got into surf music. Always a favorite album, I was going to ask if anyone knew their history. Did a search, http://www.rockabilly.net/articles/spies.shtml Also the following site has a link to a download of Spies Who Surf doing the Focus song "Hocus Pocus" that I always liked. |

I didn't start one. But since I have to reply here, I'll just go ahead and hijack.
Godaddy is probably fine if you just want to run a small simple website. They are kind of like the walmart of webhosts. However they don't provide many things that I think should be provided. For example, you can't open a remote socket. That means no paypal donation box like what we have (well, had) here. They limit you on the number of database and web connections. A site as busy as this could never run on their hosting plans, they'd shut us down in a day. But again, if you have a simple, static HTML website, they are probably fine. Once you start adding PHP and MySQL it gets restrictive. And I know a guy (a couple of guys actually) that had godaddy botch the automatic domain renewal. So one day they woke up and they no longer had their domain name. Not cool. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |
