Yes. Mosrites were used among early 80s bands: Ramones, Surf Trio, B52's, Unknowns. They set them apart from the previous generations of Les Paul and Strat players, and linked back to The Ventures of course. I think I read somewhere (probably Dave on one of the Yahoo! groups) that the guitars used on that show were not their usual first choice, but something was broken or otherwise unavailable. —The Exotic Guitar of Kahuna Kawentzmann You can get the boy out of the Keynes era, but you can’t get the Keynes era out of the boy. |

I asked John about the sound and especially what sounds like 3 string triplets, does everyone play it that way (?). He wasn't sure but suspects the effect of Wronski combined with himself makes it blister the way it does. I'm speculating here.
