My kids were watching "Aloha Scooby Doo" today and I look over and my daughter is just dancing along, rocking out, to the Dick Dale sountrack. It really warmed my heart.

I'm home with a sick four year old today, and as she was watching this movie in the background I thought, "Queue the obligatory, cheesy surf guitar." Then I thought, "This is of exceptional quality for a straight to video cartoon movie soundtrack...they must've happened to have somebody on hand that really knew what they were doing." Then I saw Dick Dale's name in the credits. Ha!

Ha, and I was pretty surprised to find the thread when I searched. I figured one thread about surf music in Scooby Doo movies was enough. I think there's been more than one thread about the surprising amount of surf music in cartoons in general.

THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!! I had no idea. Planting surf seeds to sprout in a few decades! I wonder when it will be, that a KID who watched these and had no other exposure to surf, makes it to this board.
