Aloha, surfer doooooods! I'm a newbie to this board, and was invited here from the Tiki Central board by bigtikidude. Thanks for the heads-up, Jeff!
As a Hawaiian lap steel player, I am of course biased, but even if I wasn't a HSG player, I'd still say go with lap steel. I never really cared for the Theremin. Just reminds me too much of B sci-fi movies (which ARE cool in their own way, but just not for music, IMO).

He is one of the Haole Kats...
They will be playing at Hukilau 2006 in Ft Lauderdale.

welcome abord, Glad you came over.
Let us know when the surf cd will be ready.
Back to the main theme of this thread, the guy wanted something that sounded like a female voice. I love HSG, but i think the sound of a therimen has more of a haman sound to it, to me of course.
