Thanks Bruno! I dig the Wet-Tones!
I think 2008 will be a pretty stellar year for instro-surf. There are quite a few albums coming out this year. Should be exciting stuff

My surf resolutions for this year are to get an amp, write more songs, develop some chord charts for them, and then assemble a band--hopefully during the summer when I can really devote myself to it. Wish me luck.

2008: The Year of Surf!!!

There are a lot of good releases comin' out. I can't wait for the new Madeira CD to come out. Since getting "Sandstorm" for my birthday, they've become one of my fave bands.

USK will be releasing a full length CD, "Bang Howdy Partner" in Feb, and then a 45ep in the Fall (or sooner). Last year was a bit slow for gigging for us, but this year we're gonna be playing live a lot more (maybe even Venture Out stateside?!).

Here's to a great year!

Yeah, good luck Wooza.

I'm looking forward to the new 'Verb and Verbtones stuff. I know it's gonna be awesome.

Hey Wooza,

Any addition to the surf band family is great. Best of luck!

I'm really looking forward to surf in 2008. The promise of a new
Madeira CD has me bouncing off the walls! New Urban Surf Kings
....ditto! Mighty Surf Lords and Verb CD's... very cool! The Mermen
are working on a new CD. It'll be the first one since "TACH&HRS"
in 2000, and the thought of new Mermen material has be stoked!

I'm hoping we get to see a lot more out-of-the-area bands coming
through here in 2008. Local activity was pretty good in 2007 in the
Bay Area. I hope it continues, or better yet, increases.

My personal goals for 2008? In the very least I plan to record a
submission for the 2008 SG101 compilation. More ambitious goal
would be to get my chops up, write some songs and record some
demos. Time permitting, I want to put together a band down here
in the S.F. South Bay. I better get to work!!!

And hell yeah we need more bands to come through the Bay Area. Feel free to drop me a line and I'll see if I can help.
