I have to sing the praises of the internet. Through this forum, I met ReverbMike. Today we were able to link up together for the first time ever and do a little jamming. What a treat it was to meet someone in my own town that is on the same sheet of music. We met, we jammed, we visited, had a great time and both concluded we should get together more often.

Normally I don't go in for a lot of hoopla, but I have to give credit where credit is due. Surf guitar 101 has brought a couple of Surf musicians together where otherwise we have never known the other exist much less know that anyone nearby would have the same musical interest. It has been more than 40 years since I have hit some of those notes ( I have been playing Blues and Jazz for a looong time) and had forgotten how much fun surf music can be. Thanks Mike for the good time, and looking forward to our next session.

Amen Brother. I've said it before, but it always bears repeating, there'd be no TomorrowMen without SG101. Tony and I met through here as well. Worship

ReverbMike sounded super-enthusiastic when he called me up tonight and reported on your session. i'm looking forward to bringing the fender bass over someday to provide you two with a little bottom end.

take care, and keep reverberating,

my 2 cents:

Brian (with a nod to Big Tiki Dude who helped me get on this website, and for showing me the ropes to assist me in taking an active role here this year) -- thanks for all you do for all that is surf!!

this is a powerful website for those of us who cannot get enough of the twang-drenched sound

it's great to read how it helped bring so many musicians together

and how the forums tackle stuff, from the simple, to the complex -- incredibly informative and enlightening

keep up the good work

this is THE PLACE TO BE when it comes to surf/instro

Thanks 2 Brian,
I was silly to not want to be part of a web forum, now I think yahoo groups are horrible.

and thanks to Freddie, for finally listening to my suggestion to get on here.

Twang on to both of you.
