Merry christmas everyone.

So what are your top 5 picks of the 2007 releases

Freshwater Surfin'

The Murray Basin

We should make a list of what came out in 2007 just to refresh everyone's memory...

That's sorta what I hoped would happen ;)

Freshwater Surfin'

The Murray Basin
Australia

Well let's see here, I guess I'll start. I have a short memory, but:

The Fathoms: Fathom This!
Meshugga Beach Party: Let's Go Schleppin'
The Lava Rats: Don't Drink The Water
El Ray: Highwave To Hell (It's a best of)
The Illuminoids: Secret Society of Surf Guitar
The Ghastly Ones: Target Draculon

I know I am forgetting a lot here. A little help?

Did both new Ghastly Ones albums (Unearthed and Target: Draculon) come out this year?

-Warren

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

The Surfites 'Big Pounder' is on my wish list.

I'll add the Meltones' "Surf! Spy! Space!" Technically it was released really late in 2006, but I remember last year we were holding a similar discussion as this one, and we decided it was released too late for enough people to have heard it. So this year chalk one up for the Meltones as well.

i think target draculon came out late 06. but yeah unearthead was a pretty good album too with the addition of Dave Klein on Organ. Plus that cover of Everybody Up Was freaking great!! and that hidden track at the end... i been trying to figure it out and learn it. does anybody know anything about it? Question

If it's top five, then for me this year it was:

  1. Thunderchiefs - Dig
  2. Surfites - Big Pounder
  3. Windows - For Promotion Only
  4. Tomorrowmen - There is No Now ...
  5. Ghastly Ones - Unearthed

If you wanna count non-music releases, then everything moves down a spot and the Satan's Pilgrims DVD is #1.

Really cool to have the Dick Dale reissues.
Top marks to EVERY band who added to the stoke of 2007!
