Greetings, just joined after lurking for a bit. I play guitar in the Coffin Daggers from New York, and I've been heavily into Surf music and Reverb since 1995. I was living in the Netherlands at the time, when a found copy of "Destroy all Astromen" and a Dick Dale concert literally changed my life and inspired me to crank up the reverb. I look forward to many interesting discussions here. Viktor

coffin daggers are one of my absolute favorite modern surf bands!!!!!! Saw you in Tilburg last time, with a godaweful girlband form scandinavia if I remeber correctly.
I was living in the Netherlands at the time
I'll be damned. where did you live, and why? any chance of a new european tour? Be quick though, they're banning smoking in bars, they're going to forbid mushrooms, and just this morning I read there's plans to close down the Amsterdam red light district. The netherlands aint what it used to be

Thanks everyone. Wannes: I lived in A'dam, long story, but I eneded up there by accident and stayed 3 years! It's a shame it's changing so much. I heard about mushrooms being outlawed, but am shocked to hear the red lights will be shut down, I quess the Christian democrats got their way. By the way, Are you the guy who told me where the coffee shop was in Tilburg? If so, many thanks - our tour promoter wasn't very helpful in that regard. We plan on touring again in '08 if we can find a decent booking agent. Ivan & Jon: We loved it at the Hula hop and hope to play it again next year. Everyone in my band really dug the Madeira, you guys sounded great. We'd love to play with you guys again. We're trying to get our second album finished and released so that we can justify touring Europe again, our tour last year got aborted halfway because the promoter screwed it up.

[Boris Karloff] Welcome to SG101 [/Boris Karloff]
I must admit your style of (surf ?) music isn't my favorite. But I have heard your music from your web site, and your myspace site, and I will admit that you guys are good!
Again Welcome to SG101!

Welcome aboard, psychonaut! Having looked at Ivan's reply, I really really wish I had made it to this year's Hot Rod Hula Hop. I'd already paid to attend my 20 year high school class reunion, though, so my mind was pretty much made up, as to what I'd do that weekend. No class reunion happening for me, next year, so I'll be sure to do whatever it takes to make it to Hot Rod Hula Hop IV.

The poor Dutch! I love that town. I didn't even imbibe but I liked knowing they were there. Morality police peeing in the pool again.
