My name is Matt and I was just approved for my own Surf radio show on UW-Madison's student radio, 91.7fm WSUM. I am pretty new to both the surf genre and radio in general, and I actually just finished my switchboard training and all that. Nonetheless, I have a show, even though its at a pretty crappy time slot (3am on Tuesday mornings). But thats okay, because I am new to the station and will have to work my way up in the ranks. Next semester and next year I am virtually guaranteed a primo slot.
I will be playing a lot of classic surf music at first, but I am open to suggestions and bands who want to promote themselves on one of the few surf radio programs in the region (Wisconsin isn't much of a surfer's haven). I am working on building my library and adding new and local music, so let me know if you have any suggestions or recommendations, as I am new to all this and have pretty limited resources. PM me or I can get you my e-mail or whatever if you want to talk more. Thanks

Hello from Milwaukee. I grew up in Madison. PM me your address and I'll send you the surf/instro recordings that I have put out over the years.
I do a radio show on WMSE 91.7fm in Milwaukee.
thanks,
Jon

Hey Matt...
Welcome aboard. The radio thing can be challenging but very fun and rewarding. The Surf community has been very good to me. My favorite two hours of the week!! (Don't tell Mrs. Beachwood though...)
Letâs see... 4am in Wisconsin would be about 2am in San Diego. I'll set my alarm!

Ha yeah, I thought "I should support a new surf show" but in CT that's like 5AM. I'll be checking your timeslot in coming semesters
