Howdy...
Tim from the Reverburritos here... relatively new to Surf101. I've got a question... If your band is going to cover a song by... lets say, Henry Mancini. What needs to be done about publishing rights? Do you register the song with ASCAP and pay a fee? Any feedback from any and all with similar experience would be helpful. I really dig alot of the bands I've seen on this sight and think this is a great network for the surf scene.

there was some discussion about this but i can't find it. i'm sure someone will remember where it is.

If you are going to put it on a legitimately pressed CD then when you get the CD manufactured the company will have the information you need. If you are just going to burn the CD yourself you won't have any problems.

Exactly. We smashed it into a some "Rhapsody in Blue" by Gershwin... it sounds kind cool if I do say so myself.
