Bump.
No one knew less than me about surf music when I joined here nearly two years ago. But I immersed myself in it. Sure, I write about a lot of gear. Gear is fun. But I eventually started writing music reviews amd even band interviews. Even reviewed a show. I've almost finished another band interview and have started an interview with a guitar builder. If I can do it, anyone else here can.
It wasn't too long ago that Brian asked for volunteers to do reviews. I and many others said we would. I'm currently putting together a list of new music to review and I can always delve into my stash of previous acqusitions and find a gem worth reviewing.
So, who'll join me?

I would interview Dave, and when I have free time I can do stuff like this.
I would be glad to do help when I get the time.

Great! And there is no rule that says all reviews have to be 1000 words and describe each tune in detail. A useful review can be written in 50 words or less. Sean does these very good, concise, short reviews in his Continental Magazine each issue. A review can be under 50 words, 100 words, 250 or 500 words; whatever length gets the message across. Just write what you think about the music or how it makes you feel when you hear it. That's all I do.
