Anyone get this? I went to Memphis in the summer and asked the people working there where I could find clips of this show because they were all over youtube and they had no idea. I just found it was released last month. I got a copy last week and haven't stopped watching it since.

Best band of all time.

Oh, man! I've been listening to this sort of thing today and just posted on the "what are you listening to?" thread.

Thanks for the heads up and the link. The only other footage I have seen of Otis live was the Monterey Pop festival. The Stone's Brian Jones who was there said " I think we have the best band in the world, but I wouldn't want to follow them onstage."

I have to get this dvd!

Thanks for the heads up. There was a great special on the Stax label on PBS a couple of months back - did you catch it?

You might be interested in getting this 1966 TV show DVD series unless you already have it:

I've always wanted that. There's clips of CG Brown playing a Rickenbacker and a Jaguar. Pretty cool.

I'm not that into most of the music but have been thinking of getting at least one volume for the picture quality. Most of my other 50's/60's rock'n'roll TV shows are sourced from kinescopes and look like crap.
