I wonder if she is taken from a vintage photo, or if (designer) Johnny Bartlett shot a new pic. She really has the vintage look.

I got this CD today, and it is, as expected, GREAT!

I just stocked up on a bunch of stuff! Double Crown now has the fantastic Ace collection "The Birth of Surf" as well as a long-awaited reissue of the rare Avalanches' "Ski Surfin'". Also, they have Husky & the Sandmen "Ride the Wild Surf" again!!!! Man, this is IMHO one of the best surf CDs of the last ten years, it's simply amazing! I highly recommend picking that one up. Oh, and Laika & the Cosmonauts live CD "Laika Sex Machine" - another classic! I got the CD yesterday. I can't review it because I appear on a few tracks, but I hope someone else will. I gave it a spin last night, breaking my own "No Christmas music before Dec 15 rule" Oh well... Seasonal Faves 2 makes for a pretty eclectic holiday listening. In addition to some great surf and garage, there are some real curve balls thrown at ya.

I bought 2 more of them when I was in SF in Oct. for x-mas gifts.
I'm listening to it now, killer stuff Pyros.
as for the Double Crown records Seasonal Favorites,
its sooooo cool.
a couple songs kinda threw me, but over all, amazing.

Yeah those Pyro boys are good, but this Seasonal Favorites vol. 2 IS GREAT.
This is going to be my new all-time fav. Christmas album.
It is the perfect mix of songs and sounds, great all around.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CD!!!!!!!!!!
I also recommend the Pyro's Surfin' Christmas too, but I'm biased....

I received my Seasonal Favorites CD last week, but I haven't had too much of a chance to get through it. I may do that this afternoon because I have a nice long drive up to Culver City.
