I Just read that Halloween is now the 2nd largest holiday in the US. Pretty crazy. Anyway, I wish everyone and their families a safe and enjoyable day. Remember to check the candy apples for razor blades. Idea

I miss halloween. I used to go all out each year. Nowadays on halloween I just do homework. Confused

i get yelled at because i still trick-or-treat. 'adults' really don't like that for some reason.

i'm 25 years old, i have fun doing it, and i do it for a good cause

it's my favorite 'holiday'.

I couldn't agree more. I've been so swamped with homework that I didn't even know it's Halloween until just now when I saw this thread.

Oh, and Happy Halloween. Very Happy

If I don't go out,
I dress up like a old swamp dude with a 2 ft. long beard.
and old coat and rumpled up hat.
and sit in a rocking chair on the porch and hand out candy.
with spooky sounds cd playing in the bushes.

Ha, that's awesome Jeff. Kids hardly ever stop at our house or any of our neighbors' houses--I think we had four last year. I really liked doing stuff like that, though. Halloween is so much fun.

I used to live in this really small inconspicuous apartment nestled behind a house and underneath another apartment, half underground. In the ten years my family lived there we got a grand total of six trick-or-treaters, four of whom we knew personally as friends.
All for the better I guess. We just got to keep all our own candy, which we still bought every year.

yeah we have been having less and less kids over the past 10 years.
Its so dead here, I am on the computer and my mom is handing out the candy.

Yeah, there aren't so many kids coming to my house lately either. We can get away with only having one bowl of candy now, when we used to give out two or more bowls of it... Halloween just isn't what it used to be...

I am super sweet

Speaking of Halloween...
<rant>I was looking forward to some killer spook flicks on TV yesterday when I got home from work. What was on at primetime on Halloween? Two things: Something like the 5th or 6th Halloween and Fright Night. Such a disapointment.

I remember when I was younger that on Halloween you always got flicks like The Exorcist, Friday the 13th, Rosemary's Baby, and classics like Dracula, The Wolfman, Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc. I mean for me, classic horror flicks are crucial to a good Halloween.

Oh well, I did find Texas Chainsaw Massacre later in the evening. So all was not lost.

They showed a hell-load of Karloff films on TCM. I watched Bedlam, The Body Snatcher (one of my all-time favorite horror movies), and Die Monster Die!.

I wish we had TCM, we have the 1st channel package on the Dish.
to get the 3rd one with all the cool channels you have to also get the 2nd one with all the lame sports channels that we dont want.

Body Snatchers is great, I was just telling my dad about that one,
he'd never seen it.
