Another great way to use the reverb tank is to run it through the Normal channel as opposed to your Reverb channel...you'll get a little more low end.
But if you're going for a more budget-friendly unit, I really like the Danelectro Spring King. I've actually used that as a backup for my tank, and the audience never knew the difference!

I recently picked up a Premier reverb unit on eBay. It's the all black model, not the 2 tone brown model. It seems to be a pretty decent sounding reverb, but I'd like to hear your opinions comparing it to the Fender or any other brand.

fwiw, I just finished building a Weber kit last week and it sounds absolute killer - easy buiuld too, if you have some experience with a soldering iron. recommendable in any case.
