I think I saw somewhere that Rory is playing with Chum now?

From What I hear Rory will be making his Debut performances with CHUM next weeekdnin San Diego on Friday at the Tiki House, and at the
Big South Bay Surf stomp.at Suzy's in Hermosa beach with 8 or more bands.
Adrien( drummer for CHUM) told me Rory will continue with The Infrareds, and I heard that Benny from the Volcanics might be playing drums for them. we will see, and report back when I see it.

This should be interesting. I really liked the KCR benefit show performance when Rory played with CHUM. I'm looking forward to more of that.

I've actually never checked CHUM out. I'll have to do that now. I'm a big fan of The Infrareds, especially "Recorded on Microfilm."

I talked to Rory about this last weekend at the Surf Stomp, and here's what I heard...

The Infrareds are indeed re-uniting. Rory on guitar, Benny from the Volcanics on rhythm, Keigan on bass (the original bassist), and a new guy on drums, since Matt, the original drummer, was just way too busy with working full time and going to school. He said they should start playing SoCal soon again, but is not 100% sure how long it will last. I know they always sort of tend to be one of those on-again off-again bands.

Also, CHUM does sound even "killerer" with Rory on the six string.
