I just wanted to say that since I started taking lessons about a month and a half ago, I have drastically improved. My guitar instructor is Jimmy Dale, and he is a fantastic teacher.
The biggest improvement so far has been my timing, which has always been my weakness. I am also learning the “correct” way to play these songs that I have been playing for years.
Anyway, I just wanted to encourage anyone who is wanting to improve to take lessons, it makes a massive difference. Here is a short clip of me playing “The Wedge.”

Personal guitar lessons from a good teacher are drastically different from the best online courses or books.
I had some lessons with Martin Schmidt and it pushed me more forward than previous 10 years of practice.

I agree 100% with you. I have learned more from Jimmy in six weeks than I have learned on my own in the last six years! I’ve been playing guitar seriously since Oct of 2014 (after a long hiatus). I should have started taking lessons years ago!
