I thought it could be fun to post some Surfites graphics from the past that I had laying around on the computer. Most of these are from some 15 years ago and also include alternative versions of our record covers and disc designs that were never used.

Thanks guys. As for playing live, it wouldn't be worth it to keep a full band going for just a few shows per year. Me and my brother Jack also decided from the beginning with the Surfites that we wanted to put full focus on making great records since we were not that pleased with how a lot of the Daytonas stuff turned out. And don't get me wrong, we had a lot of fun playing many of the Daytonas shows we did back then but today it would just be too much "work" since me and my brother aren't really any "musicians" (thank god). Also, over the years we have both become more and more full-blooded trad nazis and would have had difficulties to put together a live band with other surf music lovers.

I totally forgot that you guys recorded with the Wrecking Crew. Wink

These images are cool! I always liked the whole Rick-Griffin-look and it makes a nice package combination with your sound.

Los Apollos - cinematic surf music trio (Berlin)
"Postcards from the Scrapyard" Vol. 1, 2 & 3 NOW available on various platforms!
"Chaos at the Lobster Lounge" available as LP and download on Surf Cookie Records!

Thanks Simon. Yeah, recording with the Wrecking Crew was a huge moment for us! The pic was used for an article in The Continental where I discussed our recording process and recording gear.

Rick Griffin ruled up until the mid 60's and have always been a big inspiration for us.
