Hola Todos,
Our relationship with Patagonia is sending us South; WWAAYY south! We have been invited by the climbing community (in great part as a result of our sometime madman drummer Timmy O'Neill) to be part of a gathering in Puerto Varas, Chile. Details: High Motivation. Burn those miles and come get crazy with us! This is a community of adventurers, climbers, board riders of all sorts (definitely surfers), ocean lovers, and, yeah, tree hugging nature freaks.
Now, seriously, this is all so bittersweet, to put it lightly, because we are stepping away from LA and many friends who lost homes, studios, work, in the recent fires. In fact, we were in the midst of a morning session with Josh Kay (stellar keyboardist and engineer from Oahu) on the 7th of January when we looked out the window and saw a whisp of smoke grow into a massive smoke-filled sky. I feel that not a note of music will be played this year that doesn't feel more like a tear shed for this insane experience we have had in LA. That said, I have been encouraging people who care to donate to go to Musicares. They helped a lot of musicians during the pandemic. You perhaps? So, on top of any more personal GoFundMe campaigns and volunteer boots-on-the-ground actions, I have been suggesting this organization. Here's the link: Musicares
